The Brewers completed another series win over an NL Central rival, taking the rubber match against the Cincinnati Reds by a final of 5-4 Sunday afternoon behind a clutch homer from Willy Adames.
With Colin Rea on the mound, the Reds got out to a quick start as Elly De La Cruz hit a one-out triple down the right field line before coming around to score on a sac fly from Jeimer Candelario to make it 1-0.
De La Cruz’s speed was a problem once again in the third inning, as he walked with two outs, and then proceeded to steal second base.
