Brewers sign RHP Blaine Boyer to MiLB deal with Spring Training Invite

The Milwaukee Brewers signed veteran RHP Blaine Boyer to a MiLB contract on Friday with an invite to spring training.

Boyer, who is turning 35 this year, has pitched 9 seasons in the majors with the Braves, Cardinals, Diamondbacks, Mets, Padres, and Twins. He appeared in 68 games for Minnesota in 2015, posting a 2.49 ERA and 1.246 WHIP over 65 innings. He made the Twins last season in the same situation (MiLB deal with a spring training invite). He would go on to have 19 holds over 17 2/3 scoreless innings.
