The story coming into tonight’s game revolved around how long Adrian Houser would go until he was replaced by Freddy Peralta. Would he be an “opener,” or would he be the front part of a tandem? Houser would pitch two innings, so he was an opener. I think.
Houser would pitch two scoreless innings for the Brewers before giving way to Peralta. Houser gave up two hits, walked one, and struck up four. He pitched very well.
Freddy Peralta pitched even better. He covered five innings giving up three hits, two walks, striking out five, and giving the Nationals nothing.
