The defense did no favors for Freddy Peralta in his return from the Injured List, but Peralta didn’t do himself many favors, either.
The Rockies scored 4 runs in the first inning, added 3 more in the 2nd inning, and nothing much mattered after that as they embarrassed the Brewers 11-6 to split their 4-game weekday series.
Charlie Blackmon started the game with a bunt single, and after a couple walks, Peralta was facing the bases loaded with two outs. Old friend Mark Reynolds crushed a 3-run double, and later scored on an infield single by Raimel Tapia.
