Brewers rightfielder Domingo Santana returns to DL

Domingo Santana's return from the 15-day disabled list wound up being a short-lived stay.

The rightfielder was placed back on it Friday with right elbow soreness, a malady that had kept him out of the Milwaukee Brewers' previous two games. Outfielder Keon Broxton was recalled from Class AAA Colorado Springs to replace Santana.

Santana was on the DL from May 20-June 2 with right shoulder soreness. After a three-game rehab assignment at Class AA Biloxi he returned to the Brewers and played the final three games of the team's series in Philadelphia last weekend, hitting a crucial eighth-inning home run to help spark a 6-3 victory on June 4.
