With two major trades completed earlier today with San Francisco and Texas, the Brewers have some open spots on the roster to fill before tonight’s game. Thus far they have announced two transactions: recalling right handed reliever David Goforth from AAA and selecting the contract of catcher Manny Pina from Colorado Springs.
Goforth appeared in 20 games for the Brewers last season and another seven this season, though the results were much better during his debut season. Altogether he owns a 5.29 ERA in 32.1 innings at the major league level along with 31 K, 11 BB, and a 49.
