Chicago — Jonathan Lucroy was having breakfast with his daughter at a downtown Milwaukee hotel on Monday morning when he saw someone he thought he recognized.
As it turned out, it was someone he and the rest of the Milwaukee Brewers organization are going to get to know very well — new general manager David Stearns.
Stearns was officially named to his post later Monday and met with the media at Miller Park. But not before he had a chance to chat with one of his new cornerstone players.
"I sat down and I was right next to him and I looked at him and was like, 'Man, that looks just like him,'" recounted Lucroy on Monday afternoon, prior to the Brewers' game against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field.
