PHOENIX -- Former Brewers second-round Draft pick Devin Williams was undergoing tests Wednesday after experiencing pain in his right elbow during Tuesday's Minor League intrasquad game at Maryvale Baseball Park.
Williams, No. 18 on MLBPipeline.com's list of the top Brewers prospects, was examined by Dr. William Raasch, the team's head physician. If Raasch recommends it, Williams will undergo an MRI scan, general manager David Stearns said.
"We really have no idea whether this is nothing at all, or something more than that," said Stearns, who was at the game when Williams exited. "We tell all of our pitchers at this stage in spring, both in the Majors and Minors, 'If you feel anything, let us know.
