As for his role with the team, Brewers general manager David Stearns said Milwaukee plans to use Hader in the bullpen for now, but still sees him being a Major League starter.
"We believe now is the right time for Josh to begin to get acclimated to the Major Leagues," Stearns said. "At this point, our plan is to use him out of the bullpen, but we still view him as a starter long-term. I'm confident we'll be able to find the right spots for him to continue to accumulate innings and adjust to the Major Leagues."
Hader hasn't been at the top of his game at Triple-A this season, going 3-4 with a 5.
