MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Brewers have placed Khris Davis on the 15-day disabled list after the left fielder tore the meniscus in his right knee.
Davis is expected to have surgery Tuesday. It is unclear how long he might be out.
The third-year outfielder got hurt taking an awkward swing while striking out in the first inning of Saturday's 7-3 loss to Arizona.
Tyler Wagner was officially called up from Double-A Biloxi to take Davis' roster spot. The right-hander was already in Milwaukee to start Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks for Wily Peralta, who is likely out another month with a left oblique injury.
