The Milwaukee Brewers were shelled by the Pittsburgh Pirates in a 12-5 loss. With the win, 50% of the Pirates’ wins have now come against the Brewers.
Pittsburgh took the lead early against Brewers’ starter Josh Lindblom. Colin Moran doubled against Lindblom with two outs and Adam Frazier scored from first. The tag at the plate was close, so Craig Counsell challenged, but the Umps upheld the play and Pittsburgh went up 1-0.
Things were quiet on both sides until the fourth inning. Jedd Gyorko followed up a Keston Hiura ground out with a solo homer to tie things up at 1-1.
