The Brewers were unable to capitalize on their slim offensive opportunities in a close 3-1 loss to the Phillies on Monday night.
In a high-profile matchup between potential contenders, the Phillies’ ace Zack Wheeler shut down the Brewers for much of the evening. The only run the Brewers managed against Wheeler came on a Rhys Hoskins solo home run in the seventh inning.
