Unable to hold a one-run lead in the ninth inning and unable to score with the bases loaded and no outs in the 12th, the Milwaukee Brewers weren't going to hold off the first-place Chicago Cubs forever.
Nevertheless, it was particularly ugly when the Cubs finally did take the lead in the 13th inning Wednesday night at Miller Park. With Chicago out of regular players, reliever Travis Wood batted and drew a bases-loaded, two-out walk off Brewers reliever Carlos Torres to snap a 1-1 tie.
Before losing a heartbreaker, 2-1, the Brewers would suffer one last moment of frustration, putting a runner on third base with one out in the bottom of the 13th and leaving him there.
