The Milwaukee Brewers and San Diego Padres played a thrilling, back-and-forth game today at Petco Park, a game that featured an exciting late Brewers comeback and a deflating walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth after they’d tied it in the top of the inning to extend the game. It was a tough way to lose, but also an encouraging night for a Brewers team that had several breaks go against them and just would not quit.
Brice Turang led off the game by showing off a little bit of opposite-field pop when he squared up a curveball from Padres starter Adam Mazur and knocked it into the left field gap for a double.
