Now that the Brewers have all these highly rated minor-league prospects, wouldn't it be great if they had a nice, stable place to play on their final stop before arriving in Milwaukee?
That important mission has been given to Gord Ash, the Brewers' former assistant general manager. Ash became the team's vice president in charge of baseball projects after David Stearns took over as general manager last fall, and one of his first tasks is establishing a mutually beneficial long-term relationship with a Class AAA affiliate.
"I can tell you we're committed to accomplishing that," Ash said.
