There are very few perks in having a bad season in major-league baseball, but one of them is getting a high draft pick the next year.
By virtue of their 68-94 record this year, the Milwaukee Brewers will have the fifth pick in the first round of the 2016 amateur draft in June.
It will be the first time the Brewers have a pick inside of the top 10 since taking outfielder/first baseman Matt LaPorta at No. 7 in 2007. He was traded the next season to Cleveland in the CC Sabathia trade and later flamed out of baseball.
