Glendale, Ariz. — In his quest to make the Milwaukee Brewers roster as an extra outfielder, Rymer Liriano has one potential teammate firmly in his corner.
Domingo Santana, slated to be the Brewers starting rightfielder, and Liriano are neighbors and longtime friends in the Dominican Republic capital city of Santo Domingo. They also were teammates for the Licey Tigers of the Dominican Winter League and hope that will be their fate in Milwaukee as well.
"He's a great player and a great teammate," Santana said. "We have a lot of fun. Back home, he and I live by each other.
