MILWAUKEE -- For the second straight night, new leadoff man Lorenzo Cain sparked the Brewers' previously-slumbering offense, this time for an impressive feat.
Cain's two-out walk in the fourth inning preceded a three-pitch, three-batter barrage in the fourth inning against Marlins right-hander Trevor Richards that saw the Brewers grow a 1-0 lead on what was shaping into a frustrating night to a 5-0 advantage, and it would become 6-0 before the inning ended. Christian Yelich drove home Cain with an RBI triple, before Ryan Braun and Travis Shaw smashed back-to-back home runs.
