The Brewers came into the second game of a double-header losers of three straight. In each of those game three loses, the Brewers had Freddy Peralta, Brandon Woodruff, and Corbin Burnes starting the game. This evening the Brewers had Brett Anderson starting. Unlike the three previous games, this one ended in a win as the Brewers took down the Mets, 5-0.
Brewers’ pitching was outstanding in this one. Brett Anderson gave the Brewers 4 innings of work that saw him give up nothing. He turned the ball over to Jake Cousins in the fifth, and he also gave up nothing, demonstrating an outstanding slider.
