Brewers get PTBNL or cash from Twins for Neal Cotts

Cotts had been having a good season, but was a luxury-piece for a losing team.

Friday night, the Brewers traded Neal Cotts to the Minnesota Twins. Milwaukee will be receiving a player to be named later or cash in return for the left-handed reliever.

Earlier on Friday, it had been reported that Cotts was claimed on revocable waivers. Post-trade deadline, any player being dealt must either pass through those waivers, be traded only to the claiming team, be allowed to leave to that team for nothing, or be taken off waivers to remain on the original club the rest of the season.
