The Milwaukee Brewers were trying to win their fourth straight series this afternoon against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Unfortunately it was not to be. Freddy Peralta got the start for the Brew Crew while Chad Kuhl toed the rubber for Pittsburgh.
The Brewers struck quickly in the first inning. With one out in the bottom of the first, Daniel Vogelbach hit a solo shot off the Toyota sign in center field. The Brewers would add a second run on a Travis Shaw double that drove in Avisail Garcia.
With a 2-0 lead and Freddy Peralta on the mound, things were looking good early.
