Brewers fall to Mariners, 8-3

The Milwaukee Brewers and the Seattle Mariners faced off in the first of three at Miller Park this evening. Milwaukee’s defense was sensational at certain points in the game, and dismal in others. Nonetheless, Zach Davies did not have an effective outing going only four innings and giving up six runs, although only four were earned.

The Brewers got on the board first. With two outs and an 0-2 count, Ryan Braun doubled on a hanging slider by Mariners’ starter, Marco Gonzalez. Mike Moustakas followed with a ground ball that rolled below the glove of Kyle Seager and into left field.
