The Milwaukee Brewers are promoting infielder Tyler Black, according to J.P. Morosi. Black, who has been playing at first base in Nashville, is ranked as the team’s number four prospect and number 46 in baseball according to MLB Pipeline. A corresponding move has not been announced, but Black is already on the 40-man roster.
I am told Tyler Black's call-up is likely to become official later today.
Black, a left-handed-hitting infielder, has posted a .919 OPS with Triple-A Nashville this season. @MLBNetwork @MLBPipeline https://t.co/IuSxPIJvFS— Jon Morosi (@jonmorosi) April 30, 2024The Brewers expect Black to give an injection of life to an offense that got off to a great start but which has been scuffling in the absence of Christian Yelich.
