The Milwaukee Brewers came into today looking to get a sweep of the Detroit Tigers on the road after they’d bounced back nicely from their disappointing three-game sweep at the hands of the Philadelphia Phillies at the beginning of the week. But in order to get that sweep, the Brewers would have to deal with one of the league’s top pitchers, lefty Tarik Skubal, who is one of the two or three leading contenders for the AL Cy Young Award so far this season. For Milwaukee, Bryse Wilson would be the man to try to quiet the Detroit offense, who only had four runs through the first two games of the series.
