The Brewers won a Tuesday night battle with the Rays at American Family Field by a final of 8-2, but the chaos of the evening isn’t present in the box score unless you scroll down to the “Ejections” section.
The bottom of the first began with a single by William Contreras and a walk by Rhys Hoskins. With two men on, Gary Sanchez grounded into a force out at second, but he was injured while beating out the throw to first. The Brewers later reported the injury as right hamstring tightness.
DH Gary Sánchez left tonight’s game with right hamstring tightness.
