Brewers are done in by poor defense, lack of hitting

The Milwaukee Brewers continue to serve as gracious hosts to the St. Louis Cardinals.

Playing suspect defense behind Junior Guerra and unable to put anything together offensively against fireballer Carlos Martinez, the Brewers were shut out, 6-0, in a Memorial Day matinee at Miller Park.

The loss was the fourth straight for the Brewers against the Cardinals in Milwaukee dating to last season and eighth in the teams' last 10 meetings.
