The Milwaukee Brewers and Texas Rangers have made a deal that will send Grant Anderson, who was designated for assignment in the wake of Texas’s signing of Joc Pederson on Monday, to Milwaukee. The Brewers will send Texas 2024 seventh-round pick Mason Molina, and they have designated pitcher Tyler Jay to make room on the 40-man roster.
Anderson, who will turn 28 in June, is a relief pitcher notable for his very low arm slot (see here), which in 2024 came at -3 degrees (with 0 as parallel to the ground). He pitched in the majors with Texas in each of the last two seasons, though his results were less than desirable; in 49 games over the past two seasons, he holds a 6.
