The rebuilding Milwaukee Brewers continued to tweak their roster Thursday, acquiring outfielder Rymer Liriano from San Diego in exchange for left-handed reliever Trevor Seidenberger.
To make room for Liriano on their 40-man roster, the Brewers designated outfielder Shane Peterson for assignment.
Liriano, 24, once considered one of the best prospects in San Diego’s system, was designated for assignment earlier in the week when the Padres signed free-agent shortstop Alexei Ramirez.
