Thanks to some late heroics, the Brewers managed to beat the White Sox.
Win: Jonathan Broxton (1-0)
Loss: Zach Duke (1-2)
Save: Francisco Rodriguez (7)
HR: Carlos Gomez (2), Elian Herrera (3), Khris Davis (3), Geovany Soto (2)
For the most part, I think we as a fandom have finally moved past 'wins' as a statistic worth much value for pitchers (as I continue to list it above). But here's an example of how silly that can be: Jonathan Broxton was the winning pitcher for the Brewers, as per the MLB rulebook.
That, despite Broxton coming into the game with a 7-5 lead and giving up four hits in the eighth inning en route to blowing that lead and letting the White Sox tie the game back up.
