Boyer, Flores make Crew's Opening Day roster

PHOENIX -- Reliever Blaine Boyer and outfielder Ramon Flores got the good news they'd been waiting for on Sunday, when they were informed they had made the Brewers' Opening Day roster. But seven other players endured the opposite fate.

Right-hander David Goforth was optioned to the Minors and non-roster invitees Jake Elmore, Will Middlebrooks, Shane Peterson, Manny Pina, Josmil Pinto and Eric Young Jr. were informed they would not make the team. All six of those non-roster players will remain in big league camp for now.

With Sunday's notifications, the Brewers have four relievers for two remaining spots (Tyler Cravy and Ariel Pena, plus non-roster invitees Chris Capuano and Franklin Morales), three infielders for two spots (Yadiel Rivera, Colin Walsh and non-roster invitee Hernan Perez), and three outfielders for two spots (Keon Broxton, Kirk Nieuwenhuis and non-roster invitee Alex Presley).
