Zach Davies (7-3) started and picked up the win for the Brewers, while Randall Delgado (1-2) suffered his first loss as a starter this year.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
In a pinch: After Brett Phillips and Arcia led off the sixth inning with base hits, Brewers manager Craig Counsell went to his favorite weapon off the bench, Jesus Aguilar, to hit for Davies. Aguilar delivered a double to left that scored two and gave Milwaukee a 6-4 lead that it would not relinquish.
Into and out of the fire: Coming off a three-game series in which they scored 32 runs, the D-backs looked like they might be able to break the game open when the top two hitters of their lineup reached to start the third.
