Another weak start by the Milwaukee Brewers’ (7-7) rotation put the Crew down early, and they came back to tie in the fourth but a three run fifth by the New York Mets (11-1) pushed a 3-2 advantage to 6-2. Milwaukee kept coming back but couldn’t quite make it all the way, dropping a 6-5 decision at Shea Stadium tonight.
Zach Davies got the ball for Craig Counsell tonight and could only go 4 1⁄3 innings before going over the 100 pitch mark and allowing five (all earned) runs, walking two, and striking out four.
