The American League All-Stars took down the National League All-Stars in Tuesday night’s All-Star Game, the 94th Midsummer Classic in MLB history.
The NL threatened in the first, as Shohei Ohtani walked and Bryce Harper doubled to put runners at second and third, but Brewers catcher William Contreras grounded out back to former teammate to end the inning.
Christian Yelich wouldn’t get to face Burnes, as Tarik Skubal came on to pitch the second inning. Yelich grounded out to short for the first out of the inning as the NL ultimately went down 1-2-3.
