With the last two months of a lost season amounting to something of a tryout for many players on the Milwaukee Brewers' roster, Khris Davis has put a solid foot forward in recent days.
The leftfielder has recorded a pair of two-homer games in the Brewers' last four heading into the team's three-game series with the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field that begins Tuesday.
Davis hit a pair of three-run shots to power a 10-1 victory over the San Diego Padres on Aug. 6, then hit 2 two-run homers against the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday. His second, off former teammate Jonathan Broxton in the eighth inning, powered the Brewers to a come-from-behind, 5-4 victory.
