The saying is that speed never slumps, and Jazz Chisholm, Jr. did his best to prove that adage correct in the first inning of Tuesday night’s game between the Milwaukee Brewers and Miami Marlins and American Family Field. Chisholm, Jr. started the game off by beating out a routine ground ball to shortstop for an infield single, stole second, advanced to third on a groundout, then scored to give the Marlins a quick 1-0 lead against Adrian Houser and the Cream City Nine.
Chisholm, Jr. wound up leaving the game with a strained hamstring after that, though, and Houser settled in for a solid start.
