Aaron Civale exits with left hamstring injury in series finale

Entering the season, the Brewers had a depleted pitching staff, with multiple pitchers on the injured list and Milwaukee down to just three official “starters” on the roster in the form of Freddy Peralta, Nestor Cortes, and Aaron Civale.

After a disappointing series that saw both Cortes and Civale get hit hard over the weekend, Milwaukee now has more devastating injury news: Civale left after three innings and 68 pitches on Sunday with what the team characterized as “left hamstring cramping.
