Coming into tonight’s play the Milwaukee Brewers held a 3-game lead over the Chicago Cubs in the National League Central. Well now it is a 4-game lead as the Brew Crew handed the smack down to the Chicago Cubs this evening.
This game was a nail biter for most of the game. In fact the game started off well for both teams. In the top of the first, Chicago took the early lead. Brewers starter, Freddy Peralta, walked lead off hitter, Joc Pederson. As so often happens, the lead off walk came back to hurt. The very next hitter took Peralta deep for a 2-run shot.
