The reception of a GPs surgery in Middlesbrough was reduced to a pile of rubble after a car drove into it at speed and destroyed its brick façade.
Staff and patients at Parkway Medical Practice in the Teesside city were left stunned when a black Peugot collided into the centre on Wednesday afternoon.
Cleveland Police and Cleveland Fire Brigade rushed to the scene, while the team of receptionists on duty were reported to have received minor injuries.
Shocking pictures of the aftermath of the crash have been shared by the surgery on social media.
The surgery wrote on X, formerly Twitter: 'We are unable to proceed with any debris clearance or repairs until instructed, and currently have no heating, no phones and only emergency electricity.
