Middlesbrough caretaker-manager Steve Agnew says he would relish the chance to take charge of the club on a full-time basis.
Agnew replaced Aitor Karanka earlier this week after the Spaniard was sacked following a poor run of results in the Premier League.
The change of manager did little to change the club's fortunes on Sunday as Middlesbrough slipped to a 3-1 defeat to Manchester United at the Riverside.
However, Agnew was pleased with his side's overall effort and insists he would jump at the chance to manage the club on a permanent basis.
