Salford City have signed experienced Middlesbrough goalkeeper Jamie Jones on a one-year contract.
The 35-year-old former Wigan Athletic and Leyton Orient player moves to the Peninsula Stadium after the Ammies lost two keepers, Alex Cairns going to Leeds and Joel Torrance moving to Welsh Premier outfit Bala.
Jones helped Wigan to League One promotion in 2017-18 and has over 400 career appearances, including spells at Preston North End and Stevenage and loan deals at Coventry City, Rochdale and Stevenage.
He spent last season as number three keeper at the Riverside behind Seny Dieng and Tom Glover, and was released at the end of his one-year deal.
