Police investigating the 'unexplained' deaths of three people in Middlesbrough over a three-month period believe the tragedies may be linked after four people were arrested on suspicion of administering a noxious substance.
All three died within half a mile of each other in the South Bank area of Middlesbrough.
Cleveland Police said: 'Officers are now investigating any links between the deaths of a man and two women. At this time police are continuing to treat the deaths as unexplained as enquiries continue and detectives await the results of further tests to establish the cause of their deaths.
