PGMOL has admitted that Luis Díaz had a goal incorrectly ruled out for offside in Liverpool's 2-1 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
The striker thought he had put Liverpool in front 34th minute after he latched onto a through-ball from Mohamed Salah and scored, only for the flag to go up for offside.
The VAR, Darren England, checked the decision but ruled that the on-field decision of offside was correct. However, no offside lines were displayed on the screen during what was a quick review.
A statement issued by PGMOL read: "PGMOL acknowledge a significant human error occurred during the first half of Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool.
