Middlesbrough are leading Everton and Saint Etienne in the race for Ingolstadt defender Marcel Tisserand.
The 24-year-old only joined the German side a year ago from Monaco for around £5m, but he is ready to leave after the club were relegated from the Bundesliga last season.
The DR Congo international is a target for Everton, Middlesbrough and Saint Etienne, while he was on Arsenal's radar 12 months ago.
Originally, it was reported that Tisserand's preferred destination would be a move back to France.
But, according to L'Equipe, the centre-back is in advanced talks with Boro as Saint Etienne have baulked at his asking price.
