Middlesbrough have been told that Rotherham midfielder Dan Barlaser is not for sale at any price, despite the player having six months to run on his contract.
Sportsmail understands that the Teeside club had put together a package of around £900,000 for the 25-year-old.
However, that was rejected this week and, even though there was initial encouragement from the Rotherham end, the club now say Barlaser is going nowhere.
