Middlesbrough midfielder Adam Clayton has signed a contract extension which will keep him at the club until 2021.
The 28-year-old, who joined Boro from Huddersfield Town on a four-year deal in August 2014, was a key member of the side which won promotion back to the Premier League last season.
'I've put pen to paper, finally,' he told the club's website.
'It's been going on in the background for a few weeks, so to get it over the line and guarantee myself coming here for the next couple of years is really good.'
Clayton has made 26 appearances for Aitor Karanka's side this season, registering one Premier League assist.
