Middlesbrough have made an enquiry for PSG forward Jese Rodriguez.
The former Real Madrid player has been talking to Las Palmas in Spain, his hometown club, and Valencia, while Liverpool have also been credited with an enquiry.
Aitor Karanka knows the 23-year-old from his time at Madrid and is keen to see if he is willing to move to Teesside and whether he can fit into Boro's budget.
PSG boss Unai Emery has hinted that Jese, who only joined the club last summer in a £21million deal, may be allowed to leave this month.
