Top of the table Middlesbrough were held to a draw by promotion rivals Stoke in a 1-1 draw at the Riverside Stadium on Thursday night.
Middlesbrough were the first to draw blood, as top-scorer Chuba Akpom put the home team ahead in the 23rd minute.
But Stoke levelled things moments before the half-time whistle with everything to play for in the final 45.
A patchy second half saw Boro unable to pull ahead, with both teams sharing the spoils.
