Middlesbrough forward Gaston Ramirez has told the club he wishes to leave as he seeks a move to Leicester City.
The Uruguayan has handed in a transfer request at the Riverside, and is determined to force through a move to the Premier League champions before the end of the transfer window.
Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka previously went on record saying that Ramirez would not be leaving this month, but it is now believed the player has had his head turned.
Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri is looking to shuffle his pack in the remaining week of the window, with Leonardo Ulloa linked with a move away from the King Power Stadium.
