Ben Gibson says talk of an England call-up is premature given he has only played 11 Premier League matches.
Interim Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate has watched the Middlesbrough defender this season and was considering the 23-year-old for the games against Scotland and Spain.
But Gibson will have to wait until next year before the chance of an international debut, and that is fine by him.
'I'm a young, inexperienced player at this level. I've played 11 Premier League games now, and that's not a lot,' he said.
