Aitor Karanka says his criticism of Middlesbrough's hierarchy was not an attempt to get the sack and insists he would walk away if he wasn't happy.
The sulky Spaniard took aim for owner Steve Gibson earlier in the week after the club failed to deliver his top transfer targets.
That came on the back of a bizarre broadside against supporters in which he accused them of not respecting his players.
It led to suspicion from outsiders that Karanka was a manager looking for the sack and West Ham co-owner David Sullivan said the former Real Madrid star was 'cracking up'.
